New Job, New Me

It’s been quite a journey, after 10 long years filled with career successes and six promotions, I started my role as a Mid-Level Security Specialist at IBTech in June 2007. Just last week, I bid farewell to my position as Technical Leader. It turns out that leaving behind colleagues you’ve seen more than your family over the past decade, mentors who have always guided you, and all the managers who played a role in your career can be quite challenging. I’ve now experienced this firsthand. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone at IBTech and QNB Finansbank, especially my managers and team members, for making my Mondays less of a syndrome and allowing me to leave behind beautiful memories over the past 10 years.

As a cybersecurity researcher deeply passionate about his profession and someone who has spent many years in the trenches of this field, I recently accepted a job offer that excited me greatly. I have decided to continue my career as the Vice President of the Akbank Cyber Defense Center (CDC).

I would like to remind you that you can always share any suspicious or noteworthy cybersecurity-related matters concerning Akbank with me. I look forward to meeting you in future articles and wish everyone safe days ahead.
