Mert is a cybersecurity executive, threat intelligence researcher, and speaker based in the United States.

He serves as Vice President of Security Research & Operations at SOCRadar® Extended Threat Intelligence, where he leads the Threat Research, Security Operations, and Customer Support organizations. His work focuses on cyber threat intelligence, digital risk protection, and the application of Artificial Intelligence to threat research and security operations.

With more than 20 years of experience, Mert has previously held cybersecurity leadership positions at Intertech (DenizBank / Emirates NBD), Akbank, and IBTech (QNB Finansbank). Although his current role is primarily executive, he remains actively involved in technical research, regularly analyzing threat actors, malware, phishing campaigns, and emerging attack techniques.

His cybersecurity journey began after responsibly disclosing a security vulnerability to Yeditepe University, where he was studying at the time. That experience led to his first role as an Ethical Hacker and marked the beginning of a career dedicated to cyber threat intelligence and security research.
